Yin yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that focuses on holding floor-based poses for extended periods, typically 3-5 minutes, to target connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and joints. It's a practice that emphasizes stillness, breath awareness, and deep relaxation to release tension and improve flexibility.
Pilates and Yin combines the controlled, strengthening movements of Pilates with the slow, passive stretches of Yin yoga, offering a balanced approach to physical and mental well-being. Pilates focuses on core engagement, flexibility, and body awareness through precise movements, while Yin yoga targets deep connective tissues with long-held poses, promoting relaxation and introspection. This combination provides a workout that builds strength and suppleness, while also fostering mindfulness and stress reduction.
This mindfulness and meditation class offers a space to learn and practice techniques for cultivating present moment awareness and reducing stress. Participants explore various methods, including guided meditations, body scans, and mindful movement, to enhance their ability to focus, manage emotions, and foster a greater sense of well-being. Classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to those with experience, and aim to help individuals integrate mindfulness into their daily lives.
Our Lunar Astrology Yoga Speciality Class series combines the practice of yoga with the study of lunar cycles and astrology. It focuses on aligning yoga poses and intentions with the current moon phase and astrological sign influencing the moon, aiming to deepen self-awareness and promote emotional balance.
