Lunar Astrology Yoga

Our Lunar Astrology Yoga Speciality Class series combines the practice of yoga with the study of lunar cycles and astrology. It focuses on aligning yoga poses and intentions with the current moon phase and astrological sign influencing the moon, aiming to deepen self-awareness and promote emotional balance. Monthly Specialty Classes are led by Willa Paterson. $35 (+HST) to drop into any class. $125 (+HST) for the full series of 4 Lunar classes.

Inside Out 1 - Yoga & Emotional Regulation Program (6-9)

Unlock the potential within your child with the transformative Inside Out Program. Designed to equip children with essential emotional intelligence skills, this comprehensive curriculum guides them through the exploration of six main emotions and provides invaluable self-regulation tools for constructive emotional management. By fostering a supportive environment where teachers and assistants actively participate in each lesson, we ensure seamless integration of learning throughout the month, allowing the knowledge to truly take root in the hearts and minds of the children.

JOY: Embracing Happiness

In this module, children embark on a journey of self-discovery as they learn to identify their own "happy islands" and explore the things that bring them joy in life. Through a guided process during meditation, they create their own personalized happy islands, a safe haven to retreat to when their joy is disrupted. We encourage teachers to make space for these visits during the day, providing a calming refuge for unsettled children or a rejuvenating break for those returning from high energy environments.

FEAR: Conquering the Unknown

Navigating fear can be challenging, especially in new situations. I guide you and your child through the experience of a first day at a new school, teaching them the importance of regularly checking in with themselves. By developing an inner strength comparable to a mountain, children become their own superheroes, realizing that fear often arises from concerns about the future or regrets from the past. Emphasizing the power of living in the present moment, the children gain a profound sense of control over their emotions.

SADNESS: Embracing Emotional Resilience

Sadness knocks at our door until it is acknowledged. Through this module, children learn various techniques to navigate sadness effectively:

Breathing exercises to bring inner calm

Stretching to release tension from the body

Engaging in enjoyable activities to uplift their spirits

Cultivating gratitude by focusing on things they are thankful for

We introduce the concept of affirmations, empowering children to shift their perspective through the lens of gratitude.

ANGER: Harnessing Inner Strength

A powerhouse of emotion, anger can overwhelm young minds. Our program equips children with the tools to recognize anger and understand its impact on their bodies. They also learn effective anger release techniques, including the use of a Glitter Jar, various exercises and breath that helps anger settle. Teachers are encouraged to create Glitter Jars as a project, fostering a tangible connection between the lesson and the child's experience.

DISGUST: Embracing Empathy and Respect

This module challenges children to shift their perception of disgust through a thought-provoking analogy: broccoli as a tree. By encouraging a change in perspective, children develop respect for others' differences and ways of being. As an exciting addition, yoga against the wall is introduced, providing a playful and engaging means for children to practice respect by finding support in poses they may initially dislike or have disgust for.

COURAGE: Embodying Emotional Strength

Building upon their newfound understanding of emotions, children begin to recognize their own courage in showing up on the mat and exploring their emotional landscape. They learn to listen to their emotions and apply various methods to handle them in a healthy way.

We are Holding Tenderness for this holiday season. Come join us for:

A Gentle Yoga + Meditation Workshop to support the heaviness of grief and loss.

The holidays can stir up deep emotions associated with expectations and pressures especially when we’re carrying grief or experiencing loss.

This workshop invites you to step onto your mat and into a space where your whole experience is welcome.

Through slow, nurturing movement , guided meditation, and quiet reflection, we’ll learn to hold grief and loss with tenderness, create steadiness in the body, and soften the places that feel tight or overwhelmed.

In this workshop, we’ll explore:
